1958 246 DINO FERRARI This car was a development of Ferrari's F2 car. It used 2.5 litre V6 engine and to me this car epitomises the 2.5 litre formula. This car carried Mike Hawthorn to the World Drivers Championship and it was the last front engined formula 1 car to win a Grand Prix. Tragically both Collins and Musso lost their lives in this car. The model depicts the car with its solid bonnet scoop and comes with both aero screen and wrap around screen. The latter can be left off for Hawthorn car. THE MODEL Lightweight precision moulded resin body. Vac formed screen drivers arms/shoulders, resin head. White metal dummy radiator, exhausts, mirrors and filler cap. Pair of Ferrari badges, forty black numbers and white roundels so that any driver/race combination can be modelled. 'PENELOPE'S TIPS' Chassis options. CK1 complete chassis pack including SMj chassis. FEa front engined option so that almost full length driver figure can be fitted. (Some trimming of the body just behind the front axle may be needed to fit this chassis option, also the front chassis mount in the body will need to be moved forward 20mm) Wheels. FW1, RW1 with PEW2 inserts.
