1956 FERRARI D50 At the end of the 1955 season Ferrari found his cars where outdated, also-rans and they would be useless against the new Mercedes. With the death of Ascari and an earlier credit crunch the Lancia Team withdrew from racing. Ferrari was gifted the complete team (except for one car Jano kept) and financial backing from Fiat. Fangio won the world championship with Ferrari's development of the Lancia car. THE MODEL Lightweight precision moulded resin body. Vac formed driver arms/shoulders, resin head.
