ASTON MARTIN DBR4/250
This is the only formula 1 car ever made by Aston Martin. Four of these handsome cars where built and they were ready for the 1959 season but the writing was already on the wall for front engined cars. By comparison to the new rear engined Coopers they were bulky and overweight The cars handled superbly and occasionally showed promise but lack of development made them also rans in the Europeon season Two cars where modified for the Tasman Series one being driven by Lex Davison came 2nd in the Australian GP. Bob Stilwell won the race at Warwick Farm. One of the 1959 cars ran in the 1960 F1 season which was joined by a pair of DBR5 cars (Subject of Penelope Pitlane kit RB11). These were lighter versions one having independant suspension these being midfield for the 1960 season. Drivers for the team were Roy Salvadori, Maurice Trintignant and Carroll Shelby.
THE MODEL
The kit includes lighweight precision moulded resin body, white metal exhaust, vac formed windscreen and drivers arms/shoulders with resin head. 40 black number decals and 10 white roundels enabling any particular driver/race combination to be modelled.

Recommended chassis SMj chassis with CK1 chassis pack.
Alternative chassis FEa this chassis will allow the fitting of a full length driver figure but will require the front chassis mountin peg in the body moving forward.
F1Rs this chassis is the choice for those of you who prefer a Mabuchi motor.
Wheels FW1 and RW1 with PEW2 inserts.
