1955 CONNAUGHT B Type
This car richly deserves its place in history, for not only was it the first Grand Prix car to win using disc brakes it was the last car to win using a pre-selector gear box. It was also responsible for the first win of a British car/driver combination for 31 years. The works Maserati Team of Musso, Villorisi and Schell was soundly beaten in the Syracuse GP of 1955 by the Dental Student Tony Brooks with only 15 laps practice at the wheel of a Formula One car.
THE MODEL
The kit includes lightweight precision moulded resin shell incorporating drivers arms and shoulders, separate head. White metal wheel inserts, exhaust, carbs and radiator grill. Vac formed windscreen. Decals, 40 white numbers, 40 black numbers, white circles and white and yellow bonnet triangles.
